Cruise ships to visit Wallaroo in 2019/20 cruise season

Yorke Peninsula Tourism have been working with the South Australian Tourism Commission & Copper Coast Council on the potential of Wallaroo as a cruise ship destination since 2011. Today Wallaroo was officially announced as a port for the 2019/20 cruise season, with Cruse & Maritime Voyages Australia (CMV) to bring their new ship 'Vasco da Gama'.

Dog Registration Renewals - OVERDUE

REMINDER: Dog registration renewals are due by Friday August 31st 2018. Please note, renewals paid after this date will incur a $20 late fee and possible expiations for having an unregistered and/or unmicrochipped dog. Your dogs can be registered online at, or if you require assitance, in person at our office at 51 Taylor Street, Kadina. The Kadina Library staff can also assist you with your online registration. Under state government law, all dogs and cats must be microchipped as of the 1st July 2018 unless exempt by the vet, and all dogs and cats born after the 1st July 2018 must be desexed by 6 months of age or 28 days after purchase by the owner (exemptions apply).

Changes to Dog & Cat Management Act

New laws for cat and dog owners will come into effect on 1 July 2018. The laws and rules include: - Mandatory microchipping of dogs and cats - Desexing of dogs and cats born after the 1 July 2018 - New rules for breeders who sell dogs and cats - Introduction of a State-wide database, called Dogs and Cats Online.

Kadina CBD Redevelopment

Construction of stage 1 began on the 21st of November 2016. Stage 1 consists of stormwater pipework across the town centre and the upgrade of Frances Tce. This will prepare the town for stage 2 which will be implemented in 2017. To remind our residents that Kadina will be open for business during the construction period, weekly prizes will be available for shoppers in the redevelopment zone.
